John Sheppard (1515-1558)

This torrent contains a selection of motets, two mass settings, and a set of evensong canticles.  In total, four CDs of his (mainly pre-reformation) polyphonic works.

Western Wynde was an earlier secular tune, which was then used by several composers as a theme over which the other voices of a setting were laid.  Wiki has some (dubious and debatable, in best wiki fashion!) info on it here :
